What is the process to migrate Oracle 11.2.0.4 from RH 5 to RH 6?

I am in the process of moving from Oracle 10.2.0.4 on HPUX 11.23 to Oracle 11.2.0.4 on RH6.

These are the intermediate steps I am doing:

1) Create 'empty' 10.2.0.4 database on RH 5 server

2) Build export dump files and transportable tablespaces on HPUX server

3) On RH5 server, use RMAN convert datafile to convert 'endian-ness' and plug in transportable tablespaces.

4) Upgrade to 11.2.0.4 on RH 5

Now I want to move those upgraded databases to RH 6

Is it possible to simply move the datafiles and create the new database using a backup controlfile ?
