Financial Reporting Studio won't open

Our IT department upgraded the java on all PCs to version 1.8 update 51 and uninstalled all other versions of java on our machines.  After that when we try to open Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio, the login screen appears, accepts our credentials then it disappears and the reporting studio never opens.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Any ideas what we should check?  Thanks in advance for any assistance.
