OEM12c unable to change connect descriptor

Hi there,

I have installed and configured OEM12c  12.0.4 on Linux x86 64 bit and have repository Oracle DB 12c installed and running on another Linux x86 64 bit server.

During the OMS installation I have configured it to use repository SID. I would need the OMS to connect via SERVICE_NAME instead.

I have tried to change the OMS connection string on the emoms.properties file and on the Grid console but even after stopping and starting the OMS when I check the OMS connection string, it still shows the SID instead of the SERVICE_NAME.
I have also used the following command to amend the connect descriptor:
