RETENTION POLICY TO RECOVERY WINDOW OF N DAYS;

Hi Colleagues.

We have a systems which have to backup destinations:

1) FRA

2) TAPE

We want to set subject retention policy

My question is - Will this policy spread for both types of devices?

have a limited space for FRA (limited by db_recovery_file_dest_size). I want to keep backup for long time on the tape(according RMAN retention policy) and for a short time for on FRA.

Can I be sure that FRA will not overflow? Can I set RETENTION POLICY by backup devices?
