can we include date.js or any custom js in siebel escript

I want to use date functions of date.js in siebel escript. I placed this file in Tools/Scripts and tried to include in declaration section of custom Business Service but while saving BS code, tools is crashing. This is not happening with eaisiebel.js. Please help me to include custom js in siebel escript.
