Reschedule sales orders - hooks ...ASCP

we are on R12.2 and using ASCP.. (I'm new to that so apologies if it is maybe a silly question)

need your help , input on the following challenge..

example, if I have 100 on stock , and put in a sales  order for a customer with a request date of eg 23 th of September for 100 pcs --my stock is consumed and eg . sched ship date will reflect 23th of September.

now when a new sales order comes in on the same day  with request date of 15th of December for 10 --> no stock, so this sales order with be scheduled based on infinite supply, lead times etc.. eg to the 16th of October
