MOQUEUE in Stage folder

We have a moqueue folder on our web server in the Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\E1_APPS\servers\JPD900\stage\JPD900\app\webclient.war\moqueue that seems to have copies of the media objects we have uploaded to the file server. Our media objects are set to upload to a unc share on our file server. Can anyone tell me what this folder is for and why there are copies here? They seem to be taking up a lot of space on the web server.
