Unable to connect to 12c Database from 11.5.10.2 on linux.

Hi,

Could someone hep me out as i am unable to connect database from application tier running 11i(11.5.10.2) on Linux. My database is on Exadata and listener is up and running. I could able to connect from my desktop.

While trying to connect with apps schema, its throwing with an error message as "ORA-28040: No matching authentication protocol".

Any help would highly appreciated.
