CRM Sales Group Detail on Opportunity Record not accessible

Hi, in CRM  I have created a Sales Group( Searcg TYpe  =SG) with 2 Employees .

IN P90CA040 ( CRM Employees) Parent CHild Hierarchy View I can see the Parent and CHildren

However in P90CA020  (CRM OPPortunity) when I select Sales Team assignment and manually assign the "Sales Group" , it assigns the Parent only and not the Children . The "Sales Group DEtail" tab is greyed out.. what have I missed??  .see attachment
