OTL: Preferences - Can Eligibility Criteria Dependencies be Added?

While settings up preferences, we have a set of Alt Names that are for Hourly and Salary. The current way this is assigned is having the Hourly Alt Names as part of Eligibility Criteria (Link By: Assignment Category Linked to:Hourly Non-Exempt) and Salary Alt Names as part of Eligibility Criteria ((Link By: Assignment Category Linked to:Salary Exempt). We are now wanting to create Alt Names that are specific to departments (IT would have X set of Alt Names, Finance would have X set of Alt Names). The plan was to use "Group" field on the assignment for for the Link
