Oracle 8.1.7 on AIX Installation Issues

Having Issue launching Oracle Installer:     Oracle Installation cannot launch the Oracle GUI. xclock Works Fine...

In the screen following message comes up:

$ Initializing Java Virtual Machine from /tmp/OraInstall/jre/bin/jre. Please wait                                                                                                                                                             t...

SIGSEGV received at d27b3f18 in /tmp/OraInstall/jre/lib/aix/native_threads/libawt.a. Processing terminated

Writing stack trace to javacore13964.txt ... OK

Is there anything we are missing. Appreciate your response ?  Not Sure how we can troubleshoot
