OTL: approver_id=-1 in hxc_app_period_summary table

Hello,


We have a report that displays the timecard approver.  It was coming up empty for a certain approver, so we did some investigation, and found that the approver_id column in the

hxc_app_period_summary table for these records is -1.  What does -1 mean and why is it -1?  I would guess the workflow is not validating the approver.
