Any API to update Receipt number in AR

Hi Team,

Due to incorrect lockbox transmission setup, receipts are loaded incorrectly in AR through lockbox. The space is getting appended at the start of the receipt number. We have to update the receipt number to remove the blank spaces from the start of the receipt number.

For Eg :

Receipt Number : " 104255"

Expected Receipt number :  "104255"  --> Without space

Is there any API available to update the receipt number as we are not sure how many tables will be impacted due to back end update.
