Revaluation Reserve entered at the time of adding an asset

When adding a new asset through asset workbench, we get the option of entering the opening Revaluation Reserve of the asset. (See screenshot below)

What is the accounting impact of entering this figure?

Example: An asset is added as follows:

                     Asset cost = 100,000

                    Revaluation Reserve = 30,000

Now logically, when the accounting impact should be as follows:

                                                Dr               Cr

Asset Cost Account:         100,000

Asset Clearing Account                       70,000

Revaluation Reserve                           30,000

However this is not happening. No amount is going into Revelation Reserve and the accounting is created as follows:

                                                Dr               Cr

Asset Cost Account:         100,000

Asset Clearing Account                       100,000

What is the significance of this revaluation reserve figure entered at the time of creating an asset?

Howdy, Stranger!
