Is the AME (Approval Management) for EAM use and configurations diferent for R12.1.3 in comparison

I have found this White Paper : Use of Approval Management in Enterprise Asset Management (Doc ID 1552802.1).

And i'm following this information to configure the work orders approvals as a pilot in the R.12.1

but we are starting the upgrade to 12.2.4. and haven't got to that configuration.

Is there some diferences that i should be aware? is there any document about it?
