HFM 11.1.2.3.700 and IE8

I can see from the support status document (https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?id=1355681.1) that IE8 is supposed to be compatible with HFM 11.1.2.3.  We have a user that is still using IE8 because of compatibility with other software and he's not even able to get to the login screen.  Because the article referenced was released long before PSU 700 was released I am asking if IE8 is compatible with 11.1.2.3.700?
