ASCP Upgrade from 11.5.10 to 12.2.4

Hi All,

One of our division is on 11.5.10 ASCP version. We are planning to migrate them to 12.1.3.9.


However we are evaluating an option if we can upgrade them to latest 12.2.4 version and migrate other divisions to 12.2.4 version.


We want to evaluate the complications in this approach. I searched Oracle documentation and could not conclusively confirm the approach.


Hence posting few questions here -


1: Can we upgrade from 11.5.10 to 12.2.4 directly by applying the patches of 12.2.4? Or is there any intermediate patches that need to be done?

For example: - From 11.5.10, first upgrade to 12.2.1 and then to 12.2.4.

2: Which is best way to do this? - Upgrade current instance by applying the patch or Create a new 12.2.4 instance and connect current EBS to the new instance? Then decommission old 11.5.10 instance?
