Essbase Studio cube deployment resets database buffer size and cache settings

I am working on cube deployments through Essbase Studio and have noticed that every time the database is rebuilt, the buffer size and cache settings are reset back to the defaults.  In the past when I built cubes via EIS, this never occured.  Is there a simple box to check in the Essbase Studio model or build properties to leave these unadjusted?  As I start working on bigger databases this could become a problem.
