OTL and Daylight savings time

We are implementing OTL and have overnight shifts -if an employee enters time on the day we switch to daylight savings (or back) - if the employee logs start time of 12 am and stop time of 7 am - does OTL calculate the hours worked for the day with the adjustment for daylight savings (i.e. 6 or 8 hours instead of 7)?
