Is there a way to enter physical inventory data via Mobile Application for an item that is unexpecte

Is there a way to enter physical inventory data via Mobile Application for an item that is unexpectedly found in a specific locator?  The situation arises that during the physical, items are found in one locator that were inadvertently missed in some prior inventory transaction process.  Since identifying the actual content of each locator is one of the reasons to take a physical -  how can we enter this "new" item into the locator? 

We follow the normal steps to setup the physical - then submit request for inventory snapshot - generate tags (Default).  Using the Mobile Physical Inventory Count transaction, we entered several (known) items for a specific location.  Lastly we attempted to enter a new item for this locator - system responds "No result is found".
