Patches applicable for both Unix and Windows or not.

Hello,

Greetings!

I have a query that the patches we download are ".zip" files are applicable for both Windows and Unix or not? And i have downloaded a patch with the name p20772456_2023_MSWIN-x86-64.zip.. So is this specific to Windows as the name suggests or is it applicable for both Windows and Unix irrespective of the name of the zip file?
