Need help using Workday Calendars to calculate dates for sales orders and shipments

Client is already using E-1 9.0, and is implementing Transportation Management.  Their customers have assigned delivery dates, so they would like to use Lead Days and Transit Days on the Routing Entries, along with Workday Calendars to calculate the Scheduled Pick, Promised Ship, and Promised Delivery Dates.

For example, one customer wants their Delivery Date to be on Fridays.  The routing entry has 3 Transit Days, which means the Promised Ship will be on Tuesday.  The warehouse has 2 Lead Days, which means the Scheduled Pick should be on the previous Friday.

I have reviewed the white papers, and put the setup in place  for the above scenario.  I setup a Routing Entry for a carrier with 2 Lead Days and 3 Transit Days.  I setup a CUSTOMER Workday Calendar with the W's only on Friday.  I then setup a ROUTE calendar (named TUE, for customers that ship on Tuesday) with the W's only on Tuesday.   With this setup, the Prom Delivery calculated as the next Friday, the Prom Ship calculated as the previous Tuesday, but the Scheduled Pick calculated as the previous Tuesday (one week before the Prom Ship date).  The
