Failure scenarios 11.2.0.4 to 12.1.0.2 grid upgrade

I'm testing failure scenarios for our upcoming 11.2.0.4 to 12.1.0.2 grid upgrade.

I'd like to find out what I should do for each of the following rootupgrade.sh failure scenarios:

All scenarios are base on a two node grid instance on OEL 6.6 and node 1 being the node I started runinstaller on.  I know the process to downgrade is "rootcrs.sh -downgrade" but I'm not sure where I should run it and with what parameters.

Scenario 1:

rootupgrade.sh run successfully on both nodes, but I still need to downgrade:

What I think:

Run "rootcrs -downgrade" on node 2

Run "rootcrs -downgrade -lastnode" on node 1
