What is the correct method for counting a missing LPN during scheduled WMS cycle count?

During a scheduled cycle count in WMS org, user sees an LPN requested in MWA to count but that LPN is missing in warehouse. How do they mark this via handheld as missing? A Detailed count of 0 qty. requires knowledge of the item and lot inside the LPN, since those fields must be entered in MWA, and user would not know the intended item and lot since that LPN is missing.
