Ship Confirm thru BSSV

We are having requirement to Ship Confirm feed we get from the vendor into JDE thru BSSV, I know that we will have to sync the Sales order before performing actual Ship Confirm for any changes received against the Sales order. Since JDE doesn't have any Service for Ship confirm need some feedback on best way to perform it. I think we will have to call Standard Sales Order service followed by custom ShipConfirm service. My question is will the Standard inbuilt Shipconfirm EditlIne , Enddoc etc.  cache be fine when used thru BSSV or we need to design any
