bursting error prior to xml complete

Dear Experts,

  I have a few XML Publisher reports developed.  Some were developed using only PLSQL packages and some were developed using Data templates.  My issue here is that, the bursting program is getting completed before my actual xml report gets completed.  Due to this bursting is erroring out and doesn't send emails.  Please help with some details solution.  These reports are migrated to production and the go-live is nearing.
