Losing Database Connection

I'm running Contract Management 14.0 on a Windows 2008 server. The Contract Management database (Oracle) is on a separate Windows 2008 server. Contract Management is randomly losing it's connection to the database. A user will be in it and suddenly it will quit responding, often after an email has been sent. If the user tries to login again the message "Could not open the group PROJECTS. If you want to select another group, click here" appears.


I have to shutdown Contract Management and BIP and restart to reconnect to the database.


Is there a log file somewhere that might show what's happening.
