R12.1.1 rapidwiz ran into user/group issue

We are trying to install R1211 DEMO - simple one node installation.  We ran into an issue about user/group issue during the installation -

Unable to validate Database User/Group: applmgr/dba

Provide a valid Database User/Group for the installation.

 

As far as we can tell the applmgr account is setup correctly -

uid=102(applmgr) gid=100(dba) groups=100(dba),110,1600,1603(oadata),1606(pvcslpad) context=user_u:system_r:unconfined_t

Please help us identify what is the cause of this error.
