What is the difference in applications "Time and Labor" and "Time and Labor Engine"

What is the difference in applications "Time and Labor (HXC)" and "Time and Labor Engine (HXT")?

When setting profiles at the application level, how do you know which application to choose?

I saw some older community questions on what is the difference in HXC and HXT and here is the basic answer I saw:

HXT stands for Time and Labor

HXC stands for Time and Labor Engine

HXC is the schema where the Non-OTLR Timecards are stored (Self Service, Timekeeper or API).  These are the timecards that do not use Rules Evaluation and Earnings Policy to explode overtime  from regular hours. They accept all entries manually without any auto-calculations by the system.

Howdy, Stranger!
