Customer request is that whenever a bank identification number (for instance Bank Transit Number) is exported from JDE, this data should be encrypted all the way : when going over the network, and in the files produced.

A classical business case for that is when files are produced and communicated to banks for paying vendors. We don't want anyone to steal our customer Bank account references, or any vendor's bank account numbers.

The request in other words is

  • WRONG solution : field is exported non-encrypted in a file in a folder, then the file would be encrypted once in the folder.
