Defaulting one of the element input values of an element based on other input value of same element

Hello,

I have a requirement where there are 2 input values of an element. Now when user enters value in first input of element using element entry screen then, value of second input value should get automatically populated based on a criteria. Pls let me know if this can be achieved ?
