11.1.2.3.700 and FDM vs FDMEE

We are currently running Hyperion 11.1.2.3.502 with FDM.  The .700 PSU allows for the use of IE11 in Standard Mode vs Enterprise Mode required in the .50x PSU.  This raises the question if we wish to continue running FDM (vs FDMEE) do we have to upgrade FDM to FDMEE to install the .700 PSU?
