Need to end date or disable Operating Units which are not in use. R12.0.6

Hi,

How to end date OU’s which are not in use any more?

actually the same is required so that users do not pass any entries in such OU's

But the Data of such OU’s should be visible in the system

We should be able to activate or enable such OU’s in future as and when required,we are using AP,AR. FA, Inventory,Projects and GL modules as well

Are there any side effects of this activity?

How to do or achieve this activity?
