Level of Detail change on chart of accounts

Hi,

We are planning to change the Level of Detail for some accounts(lower to higher and higher to lower level). I will use R09813 for Global Update.

But is there any impact on Current existing Balances/transactions against these accounts which we are going to change in terms of either reporting or inquiries with new LOD?

Please share your experiences. Thanks in advance.
