Max records recommened for Drag and Drop Data Into List Applets in OpenUI

What is the max number of records that Oracle recommends for Drag and Drop Data Into List Applets in OpenUI. We are trying on a simple List Applet with 2 columns but its taking 7-8 min for a set of 300 records. For 10-20 records its very fast.

I have seen somewhere that Oracle recommends not more than 100 records at a time for drag/drop in list applet. Need some article around it as regular book shelf article on this feature doesn't say anything about this query.
