Default Gateway Un-Reachable

Hello Community

I have a situation whereby all of a sudden media interfaces on a 3820 are not able to get an ICMP reply from default gateway. This in turn marks the session agent out of service. When we check the data switch no MAC addresses are populated in the ARP Table. Any ideas ?.
