Hi everybody!

I am going to install oracle grid infrastructure 11.2 on a standalone server (RHEL 6.4). I don't want to use ASM, therefore, I have not created ASMDBA, ASMOPER and ASMADMIN groups. When I start the installer using ./runInstaller and selecting "Software only" installation, on screen "Privileged Operation System Groups", I selected

Oracle ASM Administrator (OSASM) Group -> dba

Oracle ASM DBA (OSDBA for ASM) Group -> oinstall

Oracle ASM Operator (OSOPER for ASM) Group (Optional) -> oper

The installer is giving me error:

[INS-41808] Possible invalid choice for OSASM Group.

[INS-41810] Possible invalid choice for OSOPER Group.

Details:

Cause - The name of the group you selected for the OSASM group is commonly used to grant other system privileges (For example: asmdba, asmoper, dba, oper).  Action - Oracle recommends that you designate asmadmin as the OSASM group.
