Why EAM asset group template has Inventory Item, stockable, transactable check box

As per my understanding for FA items, the Inventory Item, stockable, transactable check box must be unchecked, that's the differentiator between Asset Item and Inventory Item. I was trying to create Asset group as we have EAM module as well. The oracle seeded Asset group template has Inventory Item, stockable, transactable check box as checked. And the asset groups in EAM are equivalent to Fixed Assets. Does anyone has any insight why it is so?
