Siebel IP14 Patch Set 10 Installation - SWSE NOK

After installing the Patch Set 10 for IP14 the SWSE does NOT seem to be working fine for Windows Server 2012 and IIS 8.0.

The same procedure, using the vanilla installation worked fine for the following server configuration:

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
  • Internet Information Services Version 7.5

But when using the configuration below, the SWSE does NOT update the required files/components in the Siebel directory structure on the Web Server (<SWSE_directory>\PUBLIC\enu)

  • Windows Server 2012 Standard
  • Internet Information Services Version 8.0

In both cases the database used was the same (Microsoft SQL Server 2008) with vanilla installation. The installation was done on top of IP14 PS5 (SWSE migration installation). PS5 SWSE installation worked fine on both environments. But PS10 only worked as expected in the first configuration (Windows 2008 and IIS 7.5).
