Missing Records In The MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_TL Table

Hi ,

We see that  when doing Item Assignment conversion in R12  instance , few Items do not get assigned to MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_TL which causes issue when assigning items to child Organization.

Strangely we do not face issue in the 11i instance .

Came across a document in MOS for this :-

How To Diagnose And Resolve Missing Records In The MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_TL Table (Doc ID 388325.1)

This document suggest to apply a patch to fix the issue.The patch contains a sql script to insert the missing record in the MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_TL table.


But my query is that why this is happening in R12 instance ? Why are items getting missed in MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_TL when doing item conversion?
