Calculating Last Gift Date

We are being asked to calculate the last gift date for a person or org, regardless if it is hard or soft credit.  Based on the data, it appears that AV_CNST_ACC is calculating the session_no and gift_no based on hard credit giving only.  Is that correct?

I have been using AV_CNST_ACC as the most direct way to find the last gift date (based on AV_CNST_ACC.GIFT_NO).  If the last gift date needs to be calculated based on hard and soft credit giving, what is the best way to do that?
