MFS Multiplatform - iOS 9 upgrade impacts the MFS application

edited Oct 8, 2015 9:11AM in Field Service - EBS (MOSC) Question

In September, Apple introduced iOS version 9.0/9.0.1, followed by 9.0.2 last week. This new iOS version had some major changes, including file structure changes, which prevent mobile applications from writing files to the iOS device. This may cause unexpected behaviour. Additionally, there has been feedback relating to the performance impact when field service engineers navigate through various screens in the MFS multiplatform app after this iOS upgrade.

For the moment Oracle advises to not do the iOS upgrade for devices used for production environments until the currently known issues are resolved.  This post will be updated then.

For test environments we do advise to do the upgrade and test the processes used in your business. We would greatly appreciate if you could let us know if you encounter any such issues - after an iOS upgrade to 9.0.x.

Howdy, Stranger!
