Does anyone have experience of using ONLY Veeam to backup/ restore Oracle Database?

All of our (11gR2) Oracle databases are running on virtual machines.  We know about the Support situation on VMs.

Our Backup team are looking into the possibility of using only Veeam to backup and restore these databases, in addition to the hosts they currently run on (we're currently still running database backups through a.n.other product). 

Does anyone have experience of operating Oracle databases, inclouding backup and recovery using Veeam?

Is RMAN still involved?

How well does it work? 

Are there any limitations on the recovery options available?
