RCV: Processing Mode Profile option change

Hi Oracle Friends,

Currently we are using RCV: Processing mode as Immediate. some times Receive/Inspection/Delivery/Correction transactions are getting stuck in transaction status summary form with pending or error.

Later on some transactions are getting processed but these processed records not clearing from transaction status summary form still remains there. some transactions are not getting processed and showing as pending receiving transactions. in Recent Days, count have been increased. Hence we are planning change RCV: Processing mode as On-Line.

We would like to know what steps need to be performed to change profile option?

Is there any affect on transactions if we change?
