Internet Explorer 11 error: " unable to read file " when opening an excel using XML Publisher

 

Problem Description

---------------------------------------------------

We have OA Framework screens and on the click of a button, open an excel file using XML Publisher.

 

The file used to open up without any problem until Internet Explorer was upgraded to version 11.

 

Getting the error "Unable to read file" and the excel file does not show any data.

Oracle EBS Release 12.1.3

XML Publisher 5.6.3

Internet Explorer 11
