Using Oracle EBS - Discrete Manufacturing for Food & Beverage Industry?

As per Oracle Business Accelerator, Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM) is the compatible suit for Food & Beverage more than Oracle Discrete Manufacturing (ODM).

For strategic issues, one of stakeholders requests to proceed with Discrete Manufacturing (ODM) to handle this project.

So, Can you advise with gaps (missing functionalities) will be raised as a result for this decision (using Discrete Manufacturing - ODM - to handle Food & Beverage Industry) ?
