encrypting data with T4-2 without using Solaris 11

edited Oct 28, 2015 10:00AM in Oracle Solaris System Administration (MOSC) 3 commentsAnswered

I have a T4-2 and wondered if I can encrypt stored data (ie) mysql database data and uploaded file without installing Solaris 11 please?

I know the data sheet for the T4-2 says it can do wire-speed encryption but I didn't know if that was after installing Solaris 11.

I do not have encryption on my Solaris 10 T4-2 server but I now have a need.  It is a mysql database and users can also upload documents that need to be encrypted.

If I can do this, can I do it to an existing system and just turn-on hardware encryption?

Howdy, Stranger!
