External application launched from Siebel (IE9 browser) opens in a browser having IE7 Doctype

Hi All,

As part of my project I require an external application to be launched from Siebel using symbolic url.

Siebel is currently being launched from an IE9 (compatibility with IE8) browser, however the external application always opens in a browser with doctype IE7.

I need to understand if it is possible to configure within siebel such that the external application opens in a browser with a Doctype of my choice. This is required as per configuration within the external application. If possible then how?
