Oracle RAC on AWS EC2

Hi

Has anyone any experience deploying 11g OR 12C RAC over Amazon EC2 instances?

We could be taking that route (depending on decision from the management) and move over LOCAL RAC deployments onto AWS EC2 but from a DBA perspective, it would be a totally new setup / environment for us and we dont know what to expect from deployment and manageability perspective so we were wondering if we could get some feedback based on your experience and your recommendations etc

Like, In terms of configuration and day to day management how would it differ from a traditional / conventional in-house deployment
