II want to understand Standard functionality of Planned shipment Interface, so that we can propose

I could not find any document on planned shipment interface and currently we don't have integration enviorement (ebs-soa-otm) ready to confirm the requirement. So is there any document or help available on standard functionality of planned shipment interface on various scenarios.
